Brand story
At sabelle, creation begins with intention. Each piece is developed with a focus on sustainability, quality, and craftsmanship, shaping a way of producing that is both thoughtful and expressive.
The first chapter, sabelle soie, explores silk as a material for composition. Chosen for its softness and natural sheen, the silk is Oeko-Tex certified and printed using responsible processes, ensuring a balance between visual impact and conscious production.
Designed in Zürich and handcrafted in Como, where silk-making is deeply rooted in tradition, each piece reflects a dialogue between contemporary design and artisanal know-how.
Alongside this, sabelle deuxième vie expands the approach. Starting with deadstock silk, it has grown into a broader exploration of giving a second life to what is left aside or unwanted. Each piece embraces its irregularities, turning them into part of its identity.
sabelle moves between creation and re-creation, building a universe where materials, color, and process are treated with equal importance.

Process story
Each sabelle piece begins with a careful choice of materials and process. For sabelle soie, natural silk is selected for its softness, its light, and the way it holds color.
The process takes shape in Como, where long-standing expertise in silk-making guides every step. The silk is printed with water-based inks, then washed, hand cut, and hand sewn by trusted partners.
All silk and inks are Oeko-Tex certified, meaning they are safe for the skin and produced according to responsible standards. The use of water-based inks allows the colors to remain vibrant while respecting both the material and the environment.
Each foulard is finished by hand, bringing slight variations that make every piece unique.
For sabelle deuxième vie, the process shifts. Each piece is handcrafted in the atelier in Zürich, working with existing materials, starting with deadstock silk and extending to other unused textiles. Rather than aiming for perfection, the process embraces what is already there, allowing marks and irregularities to become part of the final piece.
Across both approaches, sabelle works in small quantities, with a focus on sustainability, quality, and craftsmanship.
